With over a decade of experience as a factual radio producer, I’ve traveled the world to capture compelling stories—whether at Glastonbury Festival, international protests, or humanitarian missions. I take pride in not only recording these moments but also crafting the sound design that brings them to life.

My passion for factual radio began during school holidays, working on building sites. While mixing cement, I found myself transported to new worlds through the documentaries I listened to. This sparked a desire to create my own work, leading me to volunteer at local stations and produce documentaries for independent podcasts, eventually earning an Aria Award.

In 2018, I joined the BBC through its prestigious Production Trainee Scheme, where I contributed to both the visual and factual radio teams. Since 2021, I’ve been with Audio Always, leading documentary production while also taking on opportunities to produce content elsewhere.

The heart of my work lies in the belief that radio is the most authentic form of storytelling. As a dyslexic, I find radio to be the medium that best conveys the human connection and emotion that written words often struggle to express. I’m continually excited by the endless possibilities in factual radio and remain as passionate about telling stories as I was when I first discovered the medium on those building sites years ago.

Hi, Im Sean, a factual radio producer
